made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out
of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to
them, says the LORD. "But this is the covenant that I will make with the house
of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and
write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
Matt 26:28 "For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed
for many for the remission of sins.

Would Establish a New Covenant - Jeremiah 31:31-33 -
(from the Hebrew perspective)
Jeremiah 31:31-33 in the Hebrew transliteration: hiNëh yämiym Bäiym n'um-y'hwäh w'khäraTiy et-Bëyt yis'räël w'et-Bëyt y'hûdäh B'riyt chádäshäh, lo khaB'riyt ásher KäraTiy et-ávôtäm B'yôm hechéziyqiy v'yädäm l'hôtziyäm mëeretz mitz'räyim ásher-hëMäh hëfërû et-B'riytiy w'änokhiy Bäal'Tiy väm n'um-y'hwäh, Kiy zot haB'riyt ásher ekh'rot et-Bëyt yis'räël achárëy haYämiym hähëm n'um-y'hwäh nätaTiy et-Tôrätiy B'qir'Bäm w'al-liBäm ekh'TáveNäh w'häyiytiy lähem lëlohiym w'hëMäh yih'yû-liy l'äm.
Jeremiah here speaks of a new covenant, a new relationship with God, a declaration of a new relationship with God and God says, the days are coming, and I will make a new covenant with the House of Israel in the House of Judah and it won't be the covenant I had, it won't be the contract I made with their fathers in the day I held their hand and took him out of Egypt, because this covenant, they broke, this covenant that I will make now, I will give my words in their minds, and I will write it on their hearts, and I will be their God and they will be my people. God is not content with the current situation or the current relationship he has with his people, he feels betrayed by the Hebrews for some reason and he desires to start an open page and he even says, "baalti" like I was their husband, he says, this relationship is not working. We need to open a new page and this page has to be different, and this page I will make a covenant, but not like the last time I gave you 10 commandments on stone, which you have to learn. This time, my covenant with you, I will write on your hearts and you will know it in your mind. I will be your God and you will be my people. In a way, God is talking about other people.
Somebody else is going to join this pact, this new covenant will be something that will surround or will encompass more of his people. And in Matthew 26:28, Matthew says, Jesus says, "for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many, for the remission of sins". Meaning Jesus took the responsibility of taking this verse in Jeremiah, this prophecy, Jeremiah existed 700 years before, and he's making a declaration that now a new covenant with God is made, a true covenant and a different covenant by nature, in the meal he has with his disciples and followers. So Jeremiah's prophecy from 700 BC, or around 700 BC, takes a valid human nature, when Jesus proclaimed that now a new covenant is being made with God.
Jesus took the responsibility of making a clear cut between past and future. Jesus took the responsibility of expanding God's kingdomship and we see the New Testament is the new covenant between the gentiles and God, something that was never made, up to Jesus' coming to the world, Jesus took God and brought him to the nations making a new pact with God, but not a pact that only affects the Jews or the Hebrews, but a pact that effects the whole world, a new covenant with the entire world. A New Testament for the entire world, making past and future into one.
